DESCRIPTION
Radio Connection offers courses in On Air Broadcasting: These include instruction in being a DJ, Talk Show Host, Weather Person, Sports or Newscaster, Voice Over Announcer and more. Radio Connection also offers courses in Radio Programming and other off-the-air Radio skills and trades. Additionally, Radio Connection students get a Radio-Show-In-A-Box which is includes all the hardware necessary for the student to produce and broadcast their very own Internet Radio Show.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Radio Connection features the mentor apprentice method of teaching students the necessary skills by having them work one-on-one with their mentor on real world projects. Radio Connection enjoys working relationships with mentors in radio and television stations across the United States and Canada.

Radio Connection is accredited by the National Private School Alliance. It is not a Title IV School. There is a curriculum that is followed so that all students learn how the skills required by an on-air personality. Business skills are part of the curriculum.

ADVANTAGES
Choice of locations, real world experience, one-on-one training and attractive pricing are the main advantages of Radio Connection, and that’s saying a lot. No other radio or broadcasting school offers as many locations for the student. Not having to relocate, or quit a day job, can offer significant financial advantages to the prospective student. Financially, the low tuition price is also a factor.

Perhaps the biggest advantage held by the Radio Connection is the real world experience. Course instruction takes place in real on-air radio stations under the guidance of a working professional (usually a DJ or Talk Show Host) who serves as the student’s private tutor. This provides the student with tremendous opportunities to learn a wealth of practical knowledge and meet a host of professional contacts in a short period of time.

THINGS TO CONSIDER
No Title IV College Degree. In the radio and broadcasting industries, the closer you are to the production, or on-air side of things, the less a degree means. Learning in a mentor/apprentice environment is a lot like learning to swim by being tossed in the deep end of the swimming pool with no warning. For some, it serves as a catalyst and provides the ultimate learning and network situation…others can find they are simply in over their heads.

FINANCIAL AID
Radio Connection offers several internal payment plans that vary in the amount of down payment and monthly payments. Sallie Mae student loans are also available to qualified applicants. The Radio Connection Financial Aid Department will help you with your Sallie Mae application at no extra charge.

SUMMARY
Radio Connection works best for the person who is self-motivated. It is tailor made for those with an entrepreneurial makeup. If you have a burning desire to be on-the-air, if you practice doing play-by-play while watching sporting events, if you have conviction about sharing your opinions, this course can help make that happen.
