Students who plan to work in fashion management, selling, or buying should consider the Fashion Merchandising program.
Students choosing the Fashion Merchandising major will learn about merchandising, retailing, consumers, retail buying, and fashion promotion. Graduates will be prepared to buy, promote, and sell merchandise for retailers and wholesalers, and to merchandise, promote, and sell products for manufacturers.
An important component to the Fashion and Textiles Undergraduate Programs is the internship program in which all students are required to participate. The internship program provides students with industry experience in fashion and textiles-related fields while they complete their educational programs. Through these professional-level work experiences, students gain valuable work habits and skills, and many find their job after graduation through the internship program experience.
