All you need to do is look at the rolling credits at the end of a movie, and you’ll realize there are many different career opportunities to be had in the film industry. Whether you’re interested in screenwriting, animation, directing, lighting, editing, effects, costuming or production—whether you want to be part of the technical, creative or financial part of things—there is a place for you in this exciting field.

As a student of film, you’ll learn the many different facets of the industry, from funding to production and post-production. You’ll learn about the dynamics of working on a movie set, and how all the different aspects tie together to create a movie. You’ll learn about things like proper lighting, audio, foley artistry, set design and more. In the process, you’ll find your place on the set, fully prepared for an exciting career in film.

The Editing program is designed around the technical, aesthetic and collaborative aspects of post-production with the primary focus on storytelling. Fellows develop the skills to be Assistant Editors, Editors and Post-Production Producers while collaborating with other team members.

The post-production facility consists of 15 Avid Symphony bays and one AVID Nitris networked through the AVID Unity media storage system.
