TV & Film Editing Program is perhaps the most extensive professional editing program in the world. The special Post Production Session and Real Life Experience courses provide students experience working on real life productions under the direction of a seasoned editor- trainer. Our Professional Audit feature is found only in the TV & Film Editing Program. It enables you to audit ANY course offered at Video Symphony for two years from your Film & Video Editing Program start date. If it is a course not included in the TV & Film Editing Program, the fee is only $300 plus the book cost.

DESCRIPTION
Create and edit your own short film and TV shows. Work alongside industry professionals on real-world productions. In Tribeca Flashpoint’s Film & Broadcast Associate program, you’ll accomplish all this while students at other schools are just getting started.
You’ll begin immediately by assuming real-world roles in broadcast and film productions. Then, you will select a focus in screenwriting, directing, producing, post-production, cinematography, or broadcasting. By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to enter the industry with an Associate of Applied Science degree, a portfolio and demo reel of high-end film and broadcast projects, and real-world experience.

DESCRIPTION
The Editing program is designed around the technical, aesthetic and collaborative aspects of post-production with the primary focus on storytelling. Fellows develop the skills to be Assistant Editors, Editors and Post-Production Producers while collaborating with other team members.
The post-production facility consists of 15 Avid Symphony bays and one AVID Nitris networked through the AVID Unity media storage system.
ADVANTAGES
The Conservatory’s program is highly structured, involving continuous production work during which Fellows experience both the creative and physical collaborative process. Fellows pursue their chosen discipline’s professional curriculum as well as deepen their overall understanding through participation in frequent Master Seminars with world-renowned visiting filmmakers. In 2007-2008, the list of visiting filmmakers included: Tamara Jenkins, Sean Penn, Jason Reitman, Janusz Kaminski, Warren Beatty, Stacey Snider, Mark Waters, Uta Briesewitz, and Matthew Libatique.
