DESCRIPTION
The Writing/Directing program is designed to provide students with the storytelling skills that are essential to media content creation.
Writing/Directing majors focus on scriptwriting, preproduction, eliciting actor performances, production with crews, and postproduction. BFA students should graduate from our rigorous program with a completed teleplay, feature screenplay, and a reel of professional quality videos, ready to work in the creative economy sector in broadcast, feature film, webcast, or any of the evolving media creation formats.
ADVANTAGES
The CFS main facility is a 25,000 square foot building. The main studio, a 4000 square foot sound stage, includes three Thompson BTS digital cameras with Canon studio lenses, Teleprompters, and Vinten MK V heads with tern type pedestals. At one end of the studio a cyclorama is available for green screen photography. A $300,000 Desisti lighting grid controlled by an INSight Lighting Board hangs over the entire stage.

CERTIFICATIONS
In the creation of the Regis BFA, full compliance with NASAD accreditation requirements was built into the curriculum. (NASAD, or National Association of Schools of Art and Design, is the most widely recognized accrediting body for Film Schools) As NASAD requires programs to be in operation at least one year before it evaluates a program, NASAD accreditation is planned for the 2010-11 school year.
