DESCRIPTION

Create and animate characters and environments. Composite visual effects into real footage, and generate the elements that make them come alive.  In Tribeca Flashpoint’s Animation & Visual Effects Associate program, take your creative vision to the next level.

Our faculty of experienced professionals begins by exposing you to industry-standard production software tools like Softimage, Maya and Nuke.  After an introduction to the many roles of Animation & Visual Effects, you’ll choose a focus in character animation, modeling, technical directing or compositing.

ADVANTAGES

All first year students also participate in Production-in-Action. During PIA, you will work with side-by-side with professionals in the industry and students from all disciplines to create a large-scale production.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

You’ll use the highest caliber professional 3D animation software such as Autodesk’s Softimage and Maya, Zbrush, After Effects and Photoshop, getting hands-on training by real industry professionals who are currently working in their field

  • Tuition Costs Are Rising At Unprecedented Rates

    The headline says it all.  Tuition costs have escalated to the point where students are demonstrating.  In fact, it's not unusual for a student to graduate from school hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

    This makes it imperative to spend some time choosing the right school to help you achieve your goals.  Sadly, in this age of hyper-inflated tuition costs, a college degree does not guarantee a job, much less a career.

    One strategy that is often overlooked when choosing a school is to talk to people who are successful in the career you want to pursue.  If you don't know anyone in your chosen field, you can often find much of this valuable information online.

    The more entrepreneurial individual might go so far as to enroll in the "University of Hard Knocks" and just go for it.  The reasoning is simple: he can start his career behind the wheel of a Bentley, instead of owing his college what a Bentley costs by the time he graduates.

    We're by no means advocating dropping out of school, or not pursuing an education.  However, we are advocating that you look before you leap.
