Our Web Design & Interactive Media Bachelor of Science Degree program is the right choice if you are looking to combine your individual artistic abilities with complex technological skills. This program was created to prepare you for careers involving the Internet with a focus on marketing and design. It integrates the elements of audio, video, still images, animation, text and data for the delivery of interactive content.

ADVANTAGES
In the Web Design & Interactive Media program, you’ll focus on interface design, interactivity, visual design, database design, dynamic Web content design, technology, and information design and employ creative solutions across all Web-related mediums. You’ll learn skills that will enable you to create accessible, engaging interactions via Web sites and other interactive mediums. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment in positions such as interactive designer, animator, special effects artist, and computer artist. Because this course is taught online, there is great flexibility to accommodate your scheduling needs.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Course work begins with drawing and design, digital image manipulation, multimedia system design, scriptwriting, sound, video and animation. It progresses to more complex classes such as interactive information design and Web development—all under the guidance of experienced faculty members recruited from this fascinating industry.

All high school senior scholarship recipients must apply and be accepted at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The recipient must begin his or her program of study in the summer or fall quarter following high school graduation. A full-tuition, two-year scholarship is defined as two academic years or 90 credits and a half-tuition, two-year scholarship is defined as one academic year or 45 credits. Scholarship awards are evenly distributed over the recipient’s program of study.
CERTIFICATIONS
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
