ADVANTAGES

The design of this program provides the student with the basic understanding of the fundamentals of massage. Through lecture and hands-on instruction in Swedish techniques, pathology, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, the student is prepared to successfully enter the massage industry. The program also provides information in various additional techniques currently practiced in massage therapy clinics. At the end of this program, students are prepared to sit for the national certification examination.

Located at 3590 Pleasant Valley Road, the Mobile, AL campus of Fortis College is a modern, up-to-date facility. The faculty members at Fortis College – School of Cosmetology in Mobile are ready and willing to help students not only learn in the classroom, but also apply that knowledge in the real world. Instructors have real-life experience in the field and are able to translate that to bring their expertise to the students they teach.
