DESCRIPTION

Do you possess excellent listening skills and want a job where you can work independently? When someone talks of renovations or house plans, can you visualize it in your head? If so, you should consider taking Westwood College’s Interior Design Bachelor Degree program. You will learn how to create immaculate interiors and get paid for it.

You will start by building a foundation in drawing, drafting, color, and basic design principles. You will build off this by understanding human factors, space planning, interior construction and detailing, safety and building codes, and computer-aided design. You will learn to incorporate the practical aspects of business into an interior design project.

ADVANTAGES

You can earn your degree from home, and on your schedule by attending the Westwood College online campus and the online interior design school.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

When you graduate, you’ll have the skills necessary to obtain entry-level positions in the industry, such as an interior designer, drafter, designer or showroom manager. It’s what’s inside that matters – and we’ll help you discover and refine the talents that reside within you.

FINANCIAL AID

While the primary responsibility for meeting the costs of education rests with individual students and their families, many student finance resources are available to assist those students who, without such aid, would be unable to attend Westwood.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are available.

CERTIFICATIONS

Westwood College is currently nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), both of which are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

SUMMARY

Upon graduation, you should be able to develop and present final design recommendations through traditional and computerized media for both residential and commercial design. With your interior design skills and understanding of technical, creative, and human factors, you could carry an interior design project from concept to completion. Once you build your career as an Interior Designer, you could have the luxury of naming your own hours, working at home, and choosing your own projects!

  • Tuition Costs Are Rising At Unprecedented Rates

    http://www.schoolsforme.net

The headline says it all.  Tuition costs have escalated to the point where students are demonstrating.  In fact, it's not unusual for a student to graduate from school hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

This makes it imperative to spend some time choosing the right school to help you achieve your goals.  Sadly, in this age of hyper-inflated tuition costs, a college degree does not guarantee a job, much less a career.

One strategy that is often overlooked when choosing a school is to talk to people who are successful in the career you want to pursue.  If you don't know anyone in your chosen field, you can often find much of this valuable information online.

The more entrepreneurial individual might go so far as to enroll in the "University of Hard Knocks" and just go for it.  The reasoning is simple: he can start his career behind the wheel of a Bentley, instead of owing his college what a Bentley costs by the time he graduates.

We're by no means advocating dropping out of school, or not pursuing an education.  However, we are advocating that you look before you leap.

The MBA in the corner office, fresh out of business school with a six-figure paycheck, is a standard trope of Corporate America. Every incoming student has heard rags-to-riches tales of that gilded certification leading to giant paychecks and even bigger bonuses. But how often do these MBA fairy tales actually come true? According to new research: not as often as you think.Read more »
