SchoolsForMe.net is the most in-depth resource for locating the best school for advancing a career in the media and arts worlds. Location, price, length of time spent in school are just some of the factors that we use in matching your career goals and current state of affairs to the school that can best further your goals.
None of the listings on SchoolsForMe.net have paid for their listings or reviews. This site is an independent service that has no agenda except for offering what we think is sound advice, based on numerous conversations with working professionals in the media and the arts.
With few exceptions, careers in the media and the arts values practical, working experience and knowledge that goes beyond the classroom. Degrees are mostly irrelevant to the hiring process. This is both good news and bad news. Good news if you realize this early on and select your educational process carefully. Bad news if you don't realize it until you've spent four years and many thousands of dollars on a diploma that no one who is in a position to hire you cares about.
This is not to say that traditional four year colleges and university offer nothing of value. They do. However, they seem to work best in tandem with a practical, real-world, hands-on experience gathering program of some kind. This means you would be wise to find out what kind of internships or apprenticeships the school you plan to attend offers.
