DESCRIPTION
In the Web Design program you’ll learn the basics of Web site design, graphics and animation developed specifically for the Internet. You will explore the various site design models used in personal, commercial and government Web sites, and will design Web pages and Web sites utilizing a variety of techniques and software tools.

All high school senior scholarship recipients must apply and be accepted at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. The recipient must begin his or her program of study in the summer or fall quarter following high school graduation. A full-tuition, two-year scholarship is defined as two academic years or 90 credits and a half-tuition, two-year scholarship is defined as one academic year or 45 credits. Scholarship awards are evenly distributed over the recipient’s program of study.

CERTIFICATIONS
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

SUMMARY

The Art Institute of Pittsburgh offers a Web Design program for students interested in the design and development of online media. This Web Design program approaches Web design as a creative discipline. Students pursuing a Web design certificate are taught visual design and functionality.   • Tuition Costs Are Rising At Unprecedented Rates

    The headline says it all.  Tuition costs have escalated to the point where students are demonstrating.  In fact, it's not unusual for a student to graduate from school hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

    This makes it imperative to spend some time choosing the right school to help you achieve your goals.  Sadly, in this age of hyper-inflated tuition costs, a college degree does not guarantee a job, much less a career.

    One strategy that is often overlooked when choosing a school is to talk to people who are successful in the career you want to pursue.  If you don't know anyone in your chosen field, you can often find much of this valuable information online.

    The more entrepreneurial individual might go so far as to enroll in the "University of Hard Knocks" and just go for it.  The reasoning is simple: he can start his career behind the wheel of a Bentley, instead of owing his college what a Bentley costs by the time he graduates.

    We're by no means advocating dropping out of school, or not pursuing an education.  However, we are advocating that you look before you leap.
